Funny. Didn't they trust their own "www.sympatico.ca" to resolve and be up? ;)
That's kind of silly since all the Firmwares (World-Wide) that I've looked at use Yahoo.com.

A0X = "Full Router GA configuration"
A21 = "TelMex Full Router 2"
A29 = "France Telecom Simple Router"
A2K = "FrontierNet PPPoA Full Router"
A2W = "Telemar Full Router"
A3J = "France Telecom PPPoA Full Router"
A4C = "Alltel Router Configuration"
A50 = "Alltel Router Configuration v2"

and more..

Regards,

Doctor Olds

I know. Hence the smiley I put next to this specific sentence from the get-go. Even I instinctively use Yahoo for such purposes. It was just a tongue-in-cheek reference to the oft-reported problems with Sympatico's DNS servers...

It's the very last test run and miraculously titled....

""Ping a well-known Internet host""

I think it qualifies for being "well known"

If DNS fails, that last test will also fail.

Ok. That covers the last (joke) question well. What about each of the other four?
