Re: [Poll] Antivirus Poll 2005 I currently use BitDefender 8 standard. It replaced KAV when KAV didn't find a virus that slowed the computer to a crawl. I switched to BitDefender which found the virus and have had no problems since. I don't recall the virus that was found but after the switch the speed is back to where it was a long time ago.
I am about to run out of virus definition updates on my laptop with Trend Micro and will be switching to BitDefender at that time. |

As an update on BitDefender...I got the free upgrade to version 9 and it was Hell. Everytime I had the AV update it would simply shut itself down and not restart. I would wait 5 minutes or more and still nothing. I contacted tech support and after one week of deleting this and run this test I finally decided it wasn't worth it. I am now looking for an AV that will update and still run. Sad too as I really like BitDefender. |
