| GIMP 2.2.6 Colour changing
I've been trying to learn how to use GIMP with some moderate success. My latest effort is to change colours in a graphic. For instance, I've been trying to convert the attached computer from beige to black.
Anyone know of a tutorial on how to go about this?
Thanks

| reply to Toad I cant always remember who uses what utility here, my memory isent what it used to be but, i think Weirdal is the resident Gimp but he`s AWOL at the moment.
I`m sure there are other Gimpers though, perhaps i`ll make a list one day for future reference ... |

| reply to Toad ok, here. I do it a little different from most people. I'm also using 2.0 but it is probably the same for 2.2.6
1.take original picture, duplicate the layer.
2. hide the background layer (the first layer)
3. take your eraser and erase everything that isn't the case

4. go to tools>color tools>hue/saturation
I just set the saturation and lightness at -100 and thought it looked alright

click ok and show all layers and tada, a black case
