Acanac is a subsidiary of canaca.com (a crappy webhosting company).
You know, that's the first thing I thought when I saw the name. But I didn't look into it. So I wonder whose service do they resell, i doubt they have their own stuff.

Re: Acanac? 4032/800kbps DSL - unlimited download

I've never heard of Canaca.com before, but if they already offer crappy service in hosting, it's doesn't give me a good impression on their ISP service.

I doubts that they have their own network at the CO's. Out east where Bell/Sympatico does offer 4Mbps ADSL, I can see them reselling those services at the claimed 4Mbps and unlimited.

In BC/Alberta, Telus is the only real ADSL provider. If Acanac is reselling Telus, I doubt they can offer what they offer out east. I'm thinking in the end Acanac will be like Primus...higher speeds out east (up to 3.0 Mbps downstream and 800 Kbps upstream) (guess they are squeaking in up to 4Mbps), and crippled speeds in the west (up to 1.5 Mbps downstream and 512 Kbps upstream.) Both Primus and Acanac offer services in the same 4 provinces. Coincidence? I think not.
