Re: Comcast Summer 2005 Speed Upgrade Discussion

I doubt everyone would get the upgrade at midnight. I'm sure they'll be pushing them out manually through out the day. I'm guessing most people will get the new speeds in the afternoon.

In the last upgrade which occured on January 28 here, I didn't get the new speeds until late afternooon. So who knows, when we will get them?

By the 20th they say? 6am here, rebooted the modem, and got the same 4/384. I miss something here?

Rebooted all networking equipment and got the upgrade :). What value should the 6mb tier expect when downloading from let's say an ftp?

I saw no mention of Indiana being upgraded yet, however I noticed this morning instead of my normal very very steady 4 meg speeds, it's flucuating wildly all over the board, including over what my old cap was.

Anyone else in Indiana notice this? I'm in Indianapolis BTW.

West Windsor, NJ - fluctuating a LOT - anywhere from 1.1 Mbps to well past 8 in short bursts.

Most tests since 10am in the mid 7mbps range (see attached) down (been getting 740 to 770 kbps up all along).
