Has anyone bought the download from NewEgg?

If so, is there any drawbacks to buying it thru download?
I'm looking to use it on 2 of my home PC's.

1 edit | I got mine that way...had no issues. NewEgg had the best price for it from all the sites that I checked too.
just make sure that you burn your downloaded version and serial number to a cd...just in case you lose your hard drive.
edit to add the following:
One other thing...if you buy from NewEgg, you're not a registered user in the eyes of Acronis. To fix that, after you do your install, just register on the Acronis site, using the product serial number that New Egg sends you. Then you get free updates and support from Acronis. |

| when you make your purchase, they verify the credit card, and send you an email to the addy you specify when you order within 30 mins.
in the email you get a download link and a serial number, plus proof of purchase if you ever need it.

I purchased mine via download directly from Acronis 3 years ago and that would have been my only concern buying it from Newegg, getting support but it looks like that is not a problem so it looks a good deal.

Got some acronis stuffs via online download but most comes on a retail boxed version.
