[Other] Voxee down?

Their web site too. Actually, I'm relieved. I thought the DTA310 problem was back.

Hi raderator/gkong,

Yes our website is currently down because the main server which handles DNS and the mysql database backend have been under DOS attack for the past hour (yikes!). We're all mobilised and working hard to bring back services asap, and should be ready in an hour's time.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused, we will be deploying some DNS redundancy and database fallovers once this issue is resolved.

Cheers

That's cool voxee gets folks in this forum updating its members (in real time no less!) It'd be nice to see other providers do the same.

Thanks folks, for the kind comments. We felt that we just *had* to come in here to update since both DNS and email were down.

We're still clearing up some of the leftover fraud accounts which were used to signup and flood our ports, but everything should be back ship-shape in a while.

Cheers

The quality of international calls to Asia is much improved after the addition of Teleglobe(I suppose). Keep it up!

That sucks. Maybe someone is pissed because your prices are lower than theirs. It couldn't be a customer because your CS is A+++.

I want everyone with a spare ATA port, laptop or DTA310 to sign up with voxee! It's only $5. I use it all the time on my laptop and set up my DTA310 with voxee as a backup for my regular VoIP.

My vote goes with Voxee also. I have them set up on Asterisk AND on a P8 DTA-310. I am having a hard time burning up my initial $5 @ $.011/min !!

I'm still not able to make outbound calls via Voxee, or log-in to their web site. 6:47p EDT. Anyone else having this problem?

I am a new voxee user. Today I got my Sipura 3000 and it was working fine. Then I went to the store and now Voxee is down . I can ping their web site but that's it. What is going on here ?

DOS attack. I believe them cuz they have always been super fast and super polite in answering all my questions.

Made one call on my laptop and one via DTA310, web site down again tho.

I don't know why people do such crappy things.
Someone here shot a kid's horse with a 22. It took hours for it to die. There are slimeballs everywhere.

Hi raderator,

There was another short blimp but that only lasted a while, it was not as serious as the earlier outage today which lasted 2 hours.

Thanks for your vote of confidence. Somebody is definitely out to get us, and we have IP logs of all the fraudulent account signups which were used to flood our ports *internally*. Then it turns out that they use stolen PayPal accounts to make credit deposits.

Its quite a pity that the same people whom we want to help have turned out to be the ones who are trying to do us in. However, we have ordered some extra gear and are eagerly waiting to deploy additonal protection measures. Things have returned back to normal and we are now pushing calls through at normal volume.

Thanks again everyone!
