| BFG 6800gt OC?
I currently work at Best Buy and i get a great discount on BFG products. I am have a 2800+xp athlon, 1gig pc3200 XMS high performance corssair, and an a7n8x deluxe mobo. Will the BFG 6800gt OC be good with this system? I am not looking to spend much, with my discount i can get it for $275. Is this still considered a good card? I am getting into World of Warcraft, and i want to start playing BF2 and CS:S. I will most likely upgrade after ps3 comes out also, so will this card hold me over until then? |

| "Good card", lol. It's a kickass card!
I run BF2 at 1600x1200 with almost eveything on high (mind you I have 2 gigs of RAM, you'll have to run medium textures).

That article is from September though, so the new x850 series and GeForce 7 series aren't listed. Both would be at the top of the list though. -- I have a signature. | I also have a website/blog. | I even have a computer! |

I am using an MSI mobo and I have the BFG 6800GT OC and it works great with it. You shouldn't have any problems. You could overclock your processor a bit by raising the FSB to 200mhz. |

There is no place in my Bios to make the FSB 200mhz. I can make the CPU speed 200mhz, but that doesn't let my computer boot up, it boots up into safe mode bios. |

| reply to bigyeah I have the card as well, I have it OC'd to 429x1.11. Kick Ass. I have good cooling in my case and temps never get above 60c! What type of power do you have...they suggest over 350watts in the minimum for the card. -- Cleverly Disguised As A Responsible Adult! |

DownLow Nope...I Got Nothing Premium join:2001-04-25 Long Island | The BFG GTOC comes at 370x1.0, the BFG ultra OC comes in at 425x1.1 - not sure what the plain ultra comes in at. -- Cleverly Disguised As A Responsible Adult! |

| Plain Ultras are in the 400's and 11__ something or even 12__ I think.
So no, a GT OC is not even close to Ultra speeds, but I have got mine up to nearly Ultra speeds (around 415/1150). -- I have a signature. | I also have a website/blog. | I even have a computer! |

| Read my post..I am above ultra speeds!!! BFG's OverClocked Ultra is at 425x1.1. I am above that (although only modestly- 429x1.11.
I have run it at 435x1.2 but seems a bit unstable in games. Never even breaks 65 temp-wise, but it doesn't play well in both CS:S or BF2 in my situation. -- Cleverly Disguised As A Responsible Adult! |

If I go any higher, I get massive amounts of artifacts and I'm only around 60C max, usually 55. -- I have a signature. | I also have a website/blog. | I even have a computer! |
