| {SunRocket] 800 #'s ?
In my former life of using POTS I had an 800 phone number so my parents and kids could call us on our dime. SR does not support 800's and the 'Anywhere Number' is not available in the two locations I need, NH and Pueblo, CO. Has anyone found a way to avoid using a long distance carrier for this purpose and run something through voip.
Parents do not do computers so no softphone.

| There are many services out there where you can purchase an 800 number and forward it to your SR number. You'll of course probably pay a base fee plus a per minute fee with these services. You might want to look into this option... -- Hilbe »www.sunrocketforum.com |

| I made a link to a toll-free carrier that offers 4.5¢/minute, with only a $2 monthly fee. Can direct calls to any VOIP, cell or landline phone, with online repoints and credit card billing. new numbers, or port your current number. PM me for the link.. |

Could this link you made be a referal link that you will get something from?
Just post the link or tell us who this service is with instead of trying to be sneaky about it. |

It is probably this one here:
»bestcallservice.com/
Referrals net $15, which is why RockyBB "made" the link. |

| I was not trying to be sneaky, instead staying within the forum rules of not posting links for self benefit. If you don't want it, don't ask for it. If you do want it, and you want personal support and someone to describe options, then ask.
And no, it's not the one that georgepan provided...similar pricing, not as lucrative (!), but from a provider that I've been doing stuff with for 5 years so I'm OK with their track record and business ethics.
I don't need the equivalent of a Snickers bar as commission for a couple of low volume toll-free numbers ... just offering a lower cost alternative to the one previously posted. |

| the problem these daze is that most carriers will not do 800 only. And residential accounts (in general) don't generate enough billing to cover invoicing costs. So we're left with using our local phone company (or VOIP carrier), which has limited options for repointing. So we're stuck with relative no-name carriers with websites and online call detail and credit card billing... |

| reply to rv6pilot Here is a partial list.
It does not include the vendor I linked to above:
»bestcallservice.com/
I am not in the market for an 800 number but from looking at the different offerings I would probably go with bestcallservice because of the one month free service they include for signing up. |
