| The fact that is not switched on as update could mean that is still not ready for wide distribution

| reply to Rungel What is the full version number of the latest patch? I downloaded and installed, last night, but this thread is making me think I still didn't get the latest release.
Thanks, Tim -- Nostalgia isn't what it used to be. |

@dytnoh.ameritech | The new version number is 6.0.631.003 (I believe the old version was .002) |

| reply to Rungel Heck. I am still using one of the first versions of 5.5. I still don't trust the newer versions which is a shame as I was one of those that never had a problem in the early days. Now that they're trying to be the end all to be all and take care of everything, I am just not ready to commit to a change until I hear that things are really going smoothly and that some of the unneeded features for me can be switched off. -- JKK Age is a very high price to pay for my maturity. I'll try again, tonight.

| I don't know why Zonelabs doesn't release updates via its update feature in Zone Alarm Pro for a couple of days. However, Agnitum, maker of Outpost Pro, does the exact same thing. They release a revision as a direct download first and the program update feature will not pick up the new version for several days to a week. Agnitum says they do it to avoid overburdening their servers. Perhaps Zonelabs has a similar rationale.
I was able to get the .003 version last night by using the link used in this thread. |
