| [ATT CV] Outgoing Traffic choppy
I have stumbled on a particular interesting problem. If I am on the phone and start playing an online game, no issues, However, If I am playing an online game and the phone rings, the call complains I am cutting out. So it appears that if the call is initiated before the game playing or high traffic activity, no problem, but if I am doing high traffic activity before a call, then I get a significant amount of dropped packets. The test application was Battlefield 1942 and I was able to recreate it at will.
I have a linksys TA connected directly to the Modem with Roadrunner, 5M down 384K up. It would appear the QOS in the TA does not examine existing socket traffic, but only new socket based traffic. I am left with 2 options
1) Discontinue the internet activity after the call comes in 2) Put another appliance between the Cable Modem and TA to handle QOS properly.
