yupe...the patch by the site is not up to date... it takes few hrs/day for the patch to go through...
if you still want 'live' update, there are few ways to do it.. but require 'hacking' which might be problematic for noobies

Guys, the new Windows Update does no longer allowed pirated copies to be updated even the WGA ActiveX is disabled in Tools menu.
Thus, its time for you to get/buy original now...
However, there is still a way around this method (although automatic update is not supported)...
Just install firefox,mozilla,opera and use »www.windizupdate.com/ to get recent windows update...
no hacking is needed...

Well I used the previously posted information and enabled the showing of hidden files. I then went to the \Windows\Installer\ directory and viewed details sorted by date modified. I located the *.msi file that matched the time I installed the patch and did a right-click uninstall on it from the menu. The last thing I did was to go in and delete the remaining keys from the registry...and

In IE Just goto tools/manage.addons and disable the Windows Genuine Advantage plugin
it will now do updates  |

Could you believe it!!? When I tried to download DirectX SDK Dec 2005 release using Firefox, it can get through. »www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta···yLang=en
But you need to download WGAPluginInstall.exe plugin for FF (available at Microsoft, upon downloading softwares), so the site can verify/validate the windows.
Still you can't use FF for the windows update site though, exclusively for IE.  :)

well i typed
MsiExec.exe /uninstall {63569CE9-FA00-469C-AF5C-E5D4D93ACF91}
into run and it uninstalled the WGA 
after this do a search in reg edit for " Windows genuine "
u will find 2 occurancies just delete them and viola yes?
NOW if u goto microsoft website for update
IT ASKS FOR DOWNLOAD OF WGA kb892130
again lol

having found i cannot uninstall this update i went looking for it in the reg and on my hard drive
