[OC] Help with this Biostar MB Please

Biostar M7NCG 400 nForce IGP Geforece4 7.2
BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC 256 MB
Amd Athlon XP 2400+ 2.0
Centon 1024 PC2700 ram 512 X 2 Dual Channel
Thermaltake 420 psu
Memorex cd burner (old)
Floppy
Heatsink (don’t remember) Think Thermaltake 6 but running cool running at 7670 rpm’s It’s just until I get a new one.

I tried to set it to 166 but it won’t post and have to clear the CMOS. The bios only has 100, 133, 166, 200 for FSB frequency and cpu ratio’s of 13, 13.5, 14, 15, 16, 16.5,17. I know this is not a well known board for overclocking but just curious as to why it won’t go to 166.

It does have a program that is called Warpspeeder which shows the cpu speed at 1997.0
Option to adjust core voltage from 1.65 to 1.70 and adjustment for dimm voltage from 2.5 to 2.7. And a program called nVidia Overclock Utility which will let me make a few changes there. Like increasing the FSB in increments of 1.

I was thinking about the bus speeds wouldn’t match if I started messing around there. The FSB and Memory are set to 133mhz and the AGP is set to 66mhz. Is that right with a BFG GeForce 6800GT OC 256?

However on the advanced chipset features here is what’s there.

System performance optimal
Cpu ratio default
Fsb frequency 133mhz
Cpu interface optimal
Memory frequency by spd
Resulting frequency 166mhz
Memory timings optimal
Tras 7
Trcd 3
Trp 3
Cas latency 2.5
Fsb spread spectrum .0.50
Agp spread spectrum 0.50
Frame buffer size 32m
Agp aperture size 128mb
Agp 8x support enabled
Agp fast write capability enabled
Cpu thermal-throttling 50.0
System bios cacheable disabled
Video ram cacheable disabled

Any help appreciated. I use to overclock 2 years ago but guess I forgot some things. But this is a different chipset and mb. I had a Asus before. Trying to remember something about the command rate or something like that? Help!

According to ClockGen for nVidia nForce2 here's the current clocks.

cpu 1996.93
fsb 133.13
memory 166.41
agp 66.67
pci 33.33

Do I have something set wrong?

Well, I can't increase anything with the overclocking utility within windows. I tried to increase by 3 increments but it won't let me. My warpspeeder utility is telling me overclock percentage is 100%. How can that be?

amd athlons tbred-b and bartons can do 2.5GHz if u have the right voltage and the right cooling

were it says " System performance optimal "

change it to "user define " by pressing " + "or " - "

oh there is no way to change the voltage so u may only get a few mhz out of it mybe a 100mhz or so

my barton can run at stock speed @1.5volts (non XP-M) (cause my cpu was close to the center of the wafer)
do at your own risk

I upped the voltage to the ram and vcore. Went to bios changed to 166. No post.
