| reply to Johkal Got my Motorola SB5101 home, spoke with Adelphia Support. New person said he didn't see why I needed the different modem. Told him it's what the other tech rep said and they really need to get on the same page with this since I an Adelphia website saying the same thing.
Anyway...
Still getting 4000k using the speed tests at Adelphia and Speakeasy.net.
The tech rep told me the upgrade to Extreme is still a works in progress for State College and I should see speed changes soon but he could not give me a date for when that will hapen. |

2 edits | reply to dsless Speakeasy normally blows when I use it to. The Adelphia speed test is pretty accurate as well as web100.

| reply to Johkal I live on the western end of State College, near Circleville and Vally Vista/Science Park Road intersection and currently have Premiere.
I was only getting around 4000 down so I called support. It was confirmed that I am Premiere but then I was told that I won't get anywhere above 6000 down because I have a Motorola SB5120, I need to exchange for an SB5100, which I'll do over lunch today.
Hopefully I'll have good news tonight about Extreme. |

| reply to BourneKilla I don't know how downtown State College is fairing, but I'm on the outskirts and called to have the config file pushed to my modem. If your account shows the upgrade, you should have the new config files. -- Write me up for doing 125....... |

| reply to ChillyCat said by ChillyCat :said by Johkal :As of 8:30 this morning, Ive been upgraded. Mind you, I'm not a Premier customer, Now i'm really confused. Ya saying ya got upgraded to exteme from the basic pkg?? And what the hell's wrong with Adelphia giving you Penns the tier before us over here in Football Country. Correct. The standard package people were supposed to go to the Premier levels and those on Premier would be getting the new 16/2 tier speeds.
Looks good Johkal! Those are my consistant speeds for my Premier level speeds in NC. -- Litre is French for give me some f***ing cola before I break vous f***ing lips. My LiveJournal |

2 edits | reply to Johkal As of 8:30 this morning, Ive been upgraded. Mind you, I'm not a Premier customer, but I can provide new Prefered speed tests. I had to call support. They verified my account showed the upgrade, but my modem had not been provisioned. The TSR sent the new config file in less than a minute. The modem however did not recycle on its own. I unplugged modem and router. Did normal startup sequence. Did a speed test. Upload jumped from my normal 426 to 826; download only showed around 5000 from my normal 4700. I was transfered to Level 2. During testing by the tech, I was running my own tests. As I tested, the download kept creeping up.
So far, here is what I'm getting! -- Write me up for doing 125....... |
