Re: [General] Canadian Providers for BYOD Voip

Tried vbuzzer.com today. Works with Sipura or X-ten. 416 area code only, but for $2 (incoming only), which is the cheapest you can find.
I heard that www.acanac.ca also allows BYOD. Quite cheap.

How was the vBuzzer voice quality with the Sipura?

Is there any problem finding the configuration info for the Sipura once you sign up-- proxy details, etc.? I browsed the site, but didn't see them.

I assume settings can be discovered through the configuration pages in the downloadable software. Is the softphone they offer a variant of X-Ten's softphone, which should make it easy to get the necessary info I suppose.

The only info I've got from thier software is the proxy name, which is vbuzzer.com:5060, username and password are known. You just need to install their sofware once to get the phone number.
Then you know how to configure sipura or X-ten.
The quality was good, they use G711 codec.

Thanks, yuri123. I´ll give vbuzzer a try.
