I'm working with a kid that ordered and built his own system. I don't know what's happened previously, but the system wont POST at all. Stats below. I"m pretty sure it's not the power supply or video card or any of the drives or anything. I"m leaning toward CPU problems, but I can't be sure. I checked connections and they all seemed fine. Removed Video card and tryed with a plain jane vid card and no change. Anyone have any ideas?
System stats are: AMD 3000/400 Barton X850xt Se 256 mb Video card POWMAX 519 XMAN CPXMAN-02 case 480 watt power supply Biostar Nforce 2 m7ncd ultra MB 2GB Corsair ddram -- bolt _____________________ »www.boltweb.com |

| reply to bolt Well, I pulled it all apart to check it out. I even ran it on a known good power supply. With cpu, fan and 1 stick of memory hooked up and the motherboard out of the case it still doesn't post. It doesn't do squat. So I'm guessing bad motherboard or processor. I'm going to recommnd they send them both back. -- bolt _____________________ »www.boltweb.com |
