It took three seperate attempts to cancel our account. The service was decent but far overpriced. For the same speed and better services with Covad we're paying half what were paying with DLS.net.
None of that matters because even after calling to cancel the account they demand a fax confirmation. No other utility has ever, EVER required this of me. They closed one of our accounts a year ago after repeated attempts, we lost a good $240 on that and the account is STILL listed in their system as being active.
In closing another account they denied ever recieving the fax (which I unfortunately didn't keep because I didn't think the problem would happen again) and thus we were charged an additional two months. I then faxed a new copy of the cancellation request and they continued to charge us for another 30 days because of some ripoff policy they have.
This, despite the fact that their system can easily show that we haven't used the service in over four months AND they've already recieved the equipment months ago. This is a very unethical company and I wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE. |
