so your cable modem works with your computer but not with your router?

are the computers behind the router set to use the DHCP for configuration or static IPs?

can the computers see each other? [ping from computer one to computer 2 using its LAN [192.168.1.whatever] IP?

do this: when the cable modem is connected go to "status" page and copy/paste all info you see there.
