| Malware restricts task manager and active x
Wanted to put a heads up for some people that do not how to repair this problem. All you do is go into safe mode under the users name. Open up internet explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Security, My computer . Set the settings to low and do the same with the other restrictions to set the policys back. Once you rid the malware set the settings to default. |

| Checking for files going by the same name but different extension might also be a good idea.. like cmd.bat or taskmgr.com. Especially since when needing to launch a command prompt, unless you specify "cmd.exe" it'll launch the wrong one.
I forgot the name of the virus I saw do this but the scanner did not pick up the dummy files. -- "If you like linux then use it otherwise stop preaching about linux we all already know about it and if we like it we'll use it. If you keep pestering people you look like those annoying Jehovah's witnesses... [..] with nothing better to do." |
