I tried sending thru a non-comcast account: hotmail. She did not receive the reply. Wife is going to check with their host. Although she HAS been receiving mail from other people...

Columbus, OH		 I wonder if her email provider has perhaps changed an IP address or something in their connectivity which has caused the mailserver address to not be propagated??

That could be a result of DNS propagation delay; some DNS servers catch up with a change before other DNS servers.
