what other services do I get a discount on? ComcastGuy do I get a discount on verizon wireless service, phones and accessories? I'm glad that I can upgrade to the 8mbps service for $5 extra. I still haven't gotten an answer on whether or not the comcast account has to be in my name. |

| said by imrf :But to get the discount with any company the account will have to be in your name. So your parents won't get the discount unless they change it over to your name. imrf has already answered that for you. |

join:2003-04-14 Weirton, WV | reply to mikedz4 no I won't turn it down, especially if they will work around my school schedule. He told me the wireless account would have to be in my name but he didn't say anything about the comcast cable and internet account having to be in my name. |

| Video and HSI would definately have to be in your name. I know a few people who are in apartments that don't allow cable to they have to get satellite but then they have their free service set up at their parents place or something like that which is technically a no-no but the account is in the employee's name so it hasn't been a problem. |

| reply to mikedz4 I hope that in the interview you have more specific questions/answers directed towards the possible job requirements, and the company needs. You appear to only be interested in how many and what discounts they will offer you. Buddy, you are applying for a JOB, brush up on your presentation skills;
IE why do you want to work for this company? what assets and benefits do you have that the other applicants do not? Far more important, why should they hire you? Good luck and be prepared to offer the company more of yourself than what freebies they will offer you. Trust me, Comcast is providing the job interview, not the other way around...........

| reply to mikedz4 found out yesterday that there is a discount of 15% from Cingular. I'm going to the local store to have it added today. All the others that have responded have gotten it right. Fully loaded cable TV is free. PPV is 1/2 regular price. Digital phone service is roughly $25 off.(not VOIP) Basic internet is free. higher speed tier is $10/month. DVR is $10/month. HD has no extra charge. Here is what our latest bill says to make it completely clear:
08/04 - 09/03 WWE Vengeance Start 7:30 P.M. 17.48 08/04 - 09/03 Video A/O .00 08/04 - 09/03 IN Home Wire Maintenance 2.95 08/04 - 09/03 DVR Service 9.95 08/04 - 09/03 Employee 8mg Speed Tier 10.00 08/04 - 09/03 Employee Basic .00 08/04 - 09/03 Employee Expanded Basic .00 08/04 - 09/03 Employee HBO .00 08/04 - 09/03 Employee Showtime .00 08/04 - 09/03 Employee Cinemax .00 08/04 - 09/03 Employee TMC .00 08/04 - 09/03 Employee STARZ .00 08/04 - 09/03 Employee Digital Chnls .00 08/04 - 09/03 Digital Service 5.99 08/04 - 09/03 Service Discount -5.99 08/04 - 09/03 Add Digital Outlet Svc 5.99 08/04 - 09/03 Add Digital Outlet Svc 5.99 08/04 - 09/03 Service Discount -5.99
we have 3 boxes, one 6412 DVR and two regular digital boxes. notice the WWE PPV at the top. The price is half of the normal $34.99 that everyone else pays. All PPVs are that way. With all services and fees and all that jazz, our entire bill for the month is $50.02. Take off the $17.49 for the PPV and that gives you the total for pretty much everything they have to offer for Internet and TV in the $32.50 range. We also have digital phone service that comes out to roughly $30/month with long distance at 7 cents a minute. VOIP is coming soon, but I don't know what the discounts are yet. What office are you interviewing at and for what position? |
