I'm going to pray everyday and everynight that I get hired by comcast. What are the chances of me getting hired? I really want this job.

If you don't get the job, you have a lot of issues you may have to deal with. Call center work is one of the easiest jobs to get. Also, school should be your top priority, not work. You should qualify for work-study if you were able to get a Stafford or Perkins loan and that would give enough money to pay expenses.

I know that where I take the test is a comcast internet call center. Where if people like you and me have problems with comcast HSI we call the 800 number and get the center I took the test at. I don't read the job information. I just apply for the job. I would imagine by the questions I was asked I will be manning the phones for comcast. I also know that I want to work for comcast. This is the job I have wanted for a long time (years) now I gotta pray everyday and night that I get the job.
Dude tell me your not serious......

You have to read job descriptions if you want a job. It only takes a minute to do. How do you know you want to work for Comcast if you don't know what jobs there are in the company?

Why do you want a job so bad at comcast? What would a mike bring to the table. Plus you don't seem to have the right attitude to be one of their employees, got to think positive. To add another point, your only 23 you have your whole life ahead of you to work, why not focus on getting through college and getting a degree or two and branch out from there?

Why do you "hope" he doesn't get the job? That's sort of harsh to say. To say the least, it wouldn't hurt you if he did get the job. And I'm sure there are people that deserve it less than mike.

As for me, I'll stand neutral in all this.

It would affect you if you called in for help and had to talk to him?

I know alot about computers and the internet. I spend 10-15 hours a day at least on the internet. I've learned alot from broadbandreports plus previous calls to comcast about problems with my service. Plus If I get the job ( i hope and pray I do get it) I still have to go to comcast university before they throw me to the wolves.

Don't mention the fact that you spend so much time online. Why do you want to work for Comcast so bad? Student employment isn't too bad. Work study jobs are nice since some let you study if it is slow. I applied for a customer service position here in Utah, but I didn't interview since I had to work school around work and not the other way around.

I can't pass up $12/hour with the benefits. I probably won't quit school. I can work until 3 or 4 most days. I only have class on monday, thursday and saturday and maybe tuesday. All my classes are after 7pm except my class on saturday from 8-1130 and I did put that in the available hours section. Is this going to hurt my chances of getting a job? I don't know why it should seeing as how internet support is open 24/7/365.

the problem is if they are short on people for a certain shift then that is the shift you get stuck with if you can not work what they went then they will go on to the next person that can work the hours they need you to.....so even if they are open 24/7 you could still be denied the job because of the time you can work

So you're saying that I probably won't get the job because of my schedule? I mean if it comes down to it i'll drop out of school in order to get the job, that's how desperate I am to get this job. I want it so bad I can taste it.

no I am not saying that it is necessarily true but if you can not work the hours they need you then why should they hire you....and no do not quit school for a simple phone support job or I will come to where ever it is you live and slap you silly
