thanks, it works and for sipura, stun is not required. set port to 80, 5090 is not correct anymore. see below for detail
my dialplan string
(*xx|<911:1&&&&&&&&&&>|[3469]11|0|00|<:1???>[2-9]xxxxxx|<:1>xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0 |1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.) replace &&&&&&&&&& with your local police office number. replace ??? with your area code to enable 7-digit local dialing |

Actually DTA310 does not allow to set SIP to port:80 that Vbuzzer required ! (see picture) or could you post the setting screen snapshot? |

| reply to cgigate Hi cgigate,
I've encountered the same problem with VBuzzer. I've tried two different flavors of the firmware (12.35 + BVA8052) however, neither allowed me to set port 80. Having said that, the ports allowed on each firmware differed which got me thinking, maybe I could modify the firmware myself? Anyways, I tried doing so in notepad but couldn't get the firmware files to open correctly. I really don't know how to do it but am confident that someone in this forum would know.

Attached is vbuzzer.bin. It is a 12.35 look-alike with the port range set to go as low as 79...
give it a spin.. I make no guarantees it will do what you want, but what the heck.. that's the fun of it! |

I just used the modified firmware to successfully register my DTA310 with VBuzzer via port 80. Initially, I could dial out except that the line would just ring endlessly. The only way I could get it to work normally was to enter my user name in both the 'phone number' and 'caller id name' boxes as well.

4 edits | Nice job! I don't know why the Vbuzzer is so special. It is very difficult to make/receive local call (416 area code), but it can receive non-local call (I tested Stanaphone NY phone # to Vbuzzer on DTA310, it works fine), but it cannot call (endless ringback or busy) to my home phone and cell (416 area code).:( Only the Vbuzzer softphone is working fine for everything! |

| Hi Oscar4572,
Did you try entering your VBuzzer username in both the 'Phone Number' and 'Caller ID' boxes in the DTA-310 SIP Settings? I know it sounds wacky however I had the same problem that you're experiencing until I did just this.

3 edits | reply to Packetloss I make sure VBuzzer username in both the 'Phone Number' , 'Caller ID' and 'User Name' boxes in the DTA-310 SIP Settings. when making outgoing calls, keep ringing, then after a minute or two, fast busy. I try calling my vbuzzer number, only 1 out of almost 50 calls, yes almost 50 calls, went through with some static on the line. the rest either fast busy or said "45-3, we are sorry, the number you dialed is invalid... " |

| reply to VOIPnYC Hi VOIPnYC,
Hmmmm. Do you have the correct codecs enabled? I deselected G723/G729 and put down G711U as the primary and G711A as the secondary. Another thing you may want to check is whether the problem lies with your network/router. Try putting your DTA310 in your router's DMZ and see if this solves the problem.

If you get a free account there, you can get configurations at least for Sipura devices for Vbuzzer service.

| reply to carrol I set those settings but when I call my vbuzzer phone number from a regular phone, I hear nothing not tone not busy not ringing from my regular phone (while the x-lite is ringing loud and clear), only after some seconds, my phone makes the sound that it is making a call, but if I answer with x-lite, my phone is still not conected to the x-lite number.
I can make outbound calls though from my vbuzzer/x-lite phone. |

| reply to rcilink hi,
I downloaded your hacked firmware so that it would accept port 80. it worked fine and the device keeps itself registered, never a busy signal and everything was perfect, thanks for that. One small problem though, I dont get heavy bandwidth where I live and I want to use G729 but the thing is the hacked firmware by default enables G711 both a and u law could you please do a big favor to all of us and hack the firmware AR160 so that I can select ONLY G729 and use vbuzzer with that? i would be pleased and am thankful to you in advance.
