 Price difference self install?

Whats the price difference having someone come out and install the high-speed internet and the self install kit?

Depends on what promotional offer you choose/use. Mine was a Basic HSI install $50.00 waived(FREE) and $19.95 for 6 months.

Is cable already installed at your place?

Cable is not installed at my place. Although after I see my bill for the 6Mbs after tax I'll consider switching to cable.

You'll need to have a tech come out to install cable for you, there is no self-install kit for that. The kit is for those that already have cable and just want to basically plug the modem in.

When I switched from Earthlink DSL to Comcast, I didn't have cable internet service, but had Comcast cable TV. I didn't need a tech to come out and do anything for my cable internet service. Cairey, do you mean if someone has no cable whatsoever, or do you mean if a person has cable tv, but no cable internet service?

Usually, they'll just forget about the Install Charge. They did for me, and they do it for a lot of people.
