One bug I've noticed is that despite my efforts, it's choking on the alpha channel...

| Just FYI... I fixed the alpha channel in this file (v1.1). That means you can use this filter on a layer properly now. | |

| Re: My first plugin... While my mission was to "just get something working", I think I'm going to have a lot of fun with this!
I have a bunch more that I've been playing with... not ready for prime time, though. This one is fairly straightforward under the hood so I basically rushed it to the presses.
Once I work out the math, I'd like to add the ability to compress the image... the variables storing each RGB value are good for a lot more than 0-255 (4 bytes, signed: -2,147,483,648 to 2,147,483,647)... so the only place actual image data is being lost is in the last stage when things are rendered. Computing curves should be child's play to me according to my educational history... something about not using those skills for over 10 years has put a wee damper on that!

| Re: My first plugin... I used Filtermeister 1.0 B7 ...I'm just learning, though. The real power with this program is with having full access to the entire image while working on each sub-pixel.
Heh... I'm glad folks found it workable. Sometimes, when I work in a vacuum, what seems like a good idea is nothing more than naive crap... objectively speaking.
