Robb as you have followed this thread, I wanted to add that AFTER I got an RMA to send-back my brand-new DI-524 (buy.com) for its random resets, it occurred to me that: maybe the 524, wired & used as an access point only (no WAN connection) should never have been asked to issue "Static DHCP" at all to my wireless client?
That's true. DHCP should have been off -- issuing no dynamic or static IPs.

The log would not have picked this up.
