Hi guys, I just got the WRT54GX V2 also, and my brother uses VPN for work for email. We share a comcast connection. If he connects his laptop wired to the router he gets the same problem, times out. But if he connects wireless it works fine. And no ports are forwarded. I'm using the 2.00.8 V2 firmware.
Glad to hear it's not just me. For sure a firmware problem.
