As I recall Miami was not as affected as New Orleans has been with Katrina.I don't recall hundreds of people stuck on thier roofs waiting and praying to be rescued.I also don't recall over 80 percent of Miami being underwater.You can say whatever you want the people of Louisiana know that help was not given as quickly as it should have been and I will say one thing they ain't blaming the local government.Also did you know the Presidant had the nerve to call the gov of MS and ask to do a visit but did not bother to ask the gov of LA the same thing?Oh wait I forgot the Mayor and Gov. in LA are democrats could that have something to do with it? |

| How someone from California can comment about what happened to Florida after Andrew only shows your ignorance.If you weren't here you have no clue. When there's no communications,all the major highways damaged, most of the infrastructure destroyed and most of the local roads impassable it's going to take time for aide to reach the people that need it most. Your attempts to politicise the issue will not make things better for the victims.

not to sit here and compare tragedy to tradegy, but get over yourself. Miami was in shambles after Andrew. Instead of sitting at your computer and being an ass how about you do something to help the situation? |

like what you have to say. I am so frustrated with the nation thinking that Bush or the Government could have prevented this. Why is everything so political? Here is what one victim said. This victim lost everything in Katrina, job, house; their neighbors are dead.
"This Hurricane is a lot worse than anyone expected. Nothing could have prevented this. It is not the government’s responsibility to have the National Guard waiting right outside New Orleans for a disaster to strike. This is a horrible disaster but I have my life and it will go on somewhere else in the US.” |
