Can I access Sympatico Email from Rogers?

I am a Sympatico Ultra user trying out Rogers Extreme at the same time.

Is there any way for me to access Sympatico email using Outlook (NOT through the browser)while connected to Rogers?

I seem to be able to read mail but not send using Bell's SMTP server.

Use Rogers SMTP instead.

I switched to Rogers SMTP (still using Sympatico POP) and I can send to anybody but myself (my own Sympatico email).

yes there is.

I've done it.

you just have to change your outgoing servers I think. send it through rogers., and you check your incoming server as normally?

something like that...or reversed. I forget. I've stopped using my rogers +10months ago. and use my yahoo.ca

When you figure out the solution to your comparison., please pm me., or at least post your results.

I've been using stupidympatico...and last week upgraded to ULTRa....HOPEFULLY by wed/thurs I'll get mine in the mail...more likely Monday though.

Cheers.

I use my girlfriends Rogers access from my laptop all the time and I'm able to send and receive e-mail through Outlook with no changes to my server settings. In fact I just finished sending and receiveing my mail on Rogers just now.I am using the MSN enhanced Sympatico mail servers (pophm & smtphm.sympatico.ca)if that makes a difference.I've been able to access my mail from any network I've connected to.
