Can't they just donate to the Red Cross like normal people? I guess if it's the only way to get gamers to donate then more power to it.

it says it is sponsored by the redcross...

so in essence they are...some people like to attach their name to something that they are accustomed to...but you are right...more power to them anyway...

I don't think they are trying to attach their name to anything. Just getting folks to help. My feeling is...Whatever motivates them.
