That's the clincher. He wasn't speaking freely. Speaking freely isn't allowed in a communist country.

He violated that countries laws, plain and simple.

This has nothing to do with free speech, or free journalism, or any freedom whatsoever. They don't allow it.

clubs:		 China blocks most major information outlets from the western world. I guess all that bandwidth goes to piracy, spam, and government-sponsored hacking of U.S. servers containing classified technology.
