All of mine are in the 60 - 70ms range and I had one jump to 126ms. |

| reply to weirdalex it's packet loss or latency... to test.. from a command prompt (start -> run -> cmd) ping -t google.com
after a while hit ctrl-c to interrupt
should be in ball park of 40 ms, if jumping up to 100-150ms, or there is packet loss you will get the robotic voice break up..
Contact tw, dial 6-1-1 and have a tech come out, chances are there is an issue with a wire/fitting/splitter that is not working... |

| reply to koolzero hmm... i experience the "breaking up" as well. I can tell you that it is NOT my phone lines, as I have none. We live in an older townhome (circa 1973) but there were no phone lines when we moved in. So... When they hooked up my TW Digital phone service, we're hooked directly to the modem with a splitter to allow for 2 phones. This splitter was made by the TW service guy when he installed it. I thought perhaps it was my phone, but now I'm second guessing that since I'm not the only one having this issue.
Maybe someone has some other input?
btw, I'm in Belton, MO. not too far from you |
