Re: iTunes 5.0 loads Bonjour Service

Anyway to disable this service from within iTunes?

I feel like being force fed Bonjour along with QuickTime.

Bonjour is very useful if you want to share music, or run airtunes, or stream your music thru a SSL tunnel. oh, and printing to a printer thats connected to an airport express. of course, if you dont do any of that, then turn it off.

You can configure all services via start/control panel/administrative tools/services. Doubleclick a service and set it to:
- automatic if you want it to start it with windows
- disabled if you want it totally disabled
- manual if you want to start it when it's needed (this isn't always reliable).

A nice site with info for the configuration of services is »www.blackviper.com/WinXP/servicecfg.htm .
