1 edit | I've got the 6 MB 100GB upgrade
 Speed Test |
I live in Saint John, New Brunswick and just yesterday my connection went on and off again for around five hours, when it finally came back I noticed a speed increase. My upload speed is still far from what it should be, but I'm not complaining. |

| reply to danh42 When I called to see about the upgrade, the CS guy just told me to unplug my modem and let it cyle and plug it back in. I am on the new service, and he never mentioned anything about paying the extra $2.
Mind you, I am new with Rogers, and have only had their service for two months. |

Not happening, you might get upgraded but that will include the price increase. Nobody paying $44.95 will be getting the upgrade for free. This is from a very good source. |

3 edits | Hey, I just tested my speed and I also got the upgrade! I power cycled my modem earlier today when I was reorganizing the rats nest of wires behind the PC.
EDIT: Here is the result from the Cogeco speedtest: »/speedtests/58···26409974
EDIT 2: Btw, if you look here: »www.rogershelp.com/yahoo/announc···dex.html you will see that there is maintenance scheduled for all areas.

I don't see it happening either. Having given us just over a year at $44.95, I can now imagine them putting the price up soon ... and that's how we'll get the upgrade. |

|
sbrook Premium,Mod join:2001-12-14 H0H 0H0 | If you've been with Rogers for only a couple months on Extreme then your price is based on the 46.95 rate with a discount of some sort. The price for new customers went up around the end of March. |

| reply to danh42 Inoticed today, while downloading mp3s from my server to work, the upload speed was steady at 140KB/s. I'm at the old $44.95 plan, would that mean I'm now at 6/1Mbit/s?
Tried to login to the usage tool to see wether my limit was upped or not, but it's currently out of order... |
|
  sbrook Premium,Mod join:2001-12-14 H0H 0H0 | Nope ... there's been no reports yet of a 1mbps upstream. |
