When I called to see about the upgrade, the CS guy just told me to unplug my modem and let it cyle and plug it back in. I am on the new service, and he never mentioned anything about paying the extra $2.
Mind you, I am new with Rogers, and have only had their service for two months. |

I think it's just a matter of time before us oldtimers (hi sbrook!) on the $44 plan get auto-updated to the 6Mbps profile for free!

Not happening, you might get upgraded but that will include the price increase. Nobody paying $44.95 will be getting the upgrade for free. This is from a very good source. |

3 edits | Hey, I just tested my speed and I also got the upgrade! I power cycled my modem earlier today when I was reorganizing the rats nest of wires behind the PC.

I don't see it happening either. Having given us just over a year at $44.95, I can now imagine them putting the price up soon ... and that's how we'll get the upgrade. |

Inoticed today, while downloading mp3s from my server to work, the upload speed was steady at 140KB/s.
I'm at the old $44.95 plan, would that mean I'm now at 6/1Mbit/s?
Tried to login to the usage tool to see wether my limit was upped or not, but it's currently out of order... |
