:Version 5 of iTunes also loads the InstallDriver Table Manager service and as the previous versions also the iPod Service service, which loads even if there isn't an iPod connected. I think the following is a safe configuration:
- Bonjour Service: disabled
- InstallDriver Table Manager: manual
- iPod Service: manual (or even disabled if you don't own an iPod).
For all the people who thought Apple keeps its software simple and effective, this must come as a huge surprise...
Thanks- I didn't realize I had even installed it until my firewall started asking permission for it to access the internet- not cool! The site implies you 'install' the program- it sure snuck right by me. Really dissapointing news from Apple for sure.
