I have an 8 year-old nephew who is *really* sharp and intelligent, and pretty tech-savvy, and even he wouldn't yet have the ability to figure out how to find the latest Nelly track and download it over P2P. And then to have the patience to actually wait for it and get it (you have any idea how patient 7 year-olds are? They aren't, and that's the point).
No, if it's just her and her 7 year-old, and she can prove she didn't do anything, I'd love to see the prosecution attempt to prove it was the 7 year-old then, serving MP3's. Kids are tech-savvy, but not THAT tech-savvy at that age, and definitely not patient enough to be finding music, downloading it into a library, and then serving it. |
