Re: [General] Post your VOIP provider costs here

I am currently in the UK using VoiceHost.co.uk

The service is mostly free and when there are charges they are for calls outside of the system.

Calls to other users and other peered providers are free. Calls to standard numbers are from 1p per min and are cheaper than many standard telephone companies in the UK.

My USAdatanet $24.95 gets up to about $31.50 with all its taxes and fees. Not happy with +20% overhead. (Fulton)

vbuzzer for outbound to relatives in the US. 1 cent / minute to US and Canada. Paid $5 three months ago. have $3.50 left. That comes to 50 cents / month.

voicestick for inbound and outbound. Paid $5 3 months ago and got an extra $5 worth of calls added, plus a US phone number, local to the relatives, which they use to call me (no charge for either of us). 2 cents / minute to US and Canada. Have $5 left.
That comes to $1.66 / month

Total is $2.16 / month.

I have an ata I bought 2 years ago, but could use Voicestick's i2bridge feature if I did not.

All in all, and unless I start calling out a lot more than I do, or until the voip business settles down, I'm happy to keep this pay-as-you-go setup.
