@sprint-hsd.net | Sprint DHCP 645R and Linksys WRT54G
Does anyone have any knowledge they can share with me on getting a 645R DHCP router to work with the Linksys WRT54G router network (both hardwired and wireless) I already have working.
Thank you

| reply to Wltr Hi,
I am hesitant to use the first option because from my understanding changing the router address to 192.168.2.1 would put it on a different subnet from the networked PC's who are on 192.168.1.x; Even though I can change the linksys router's address to the above, the software won't let me change the dhcp pool of addresses from 192.168.1.x.
Am I wrong and the pc's and router could still connect?
Currently the linksys router has an ip address of 192.168.1.2
The second set of advice relates to the 645M versus my 645R, I believed the M denoted modem rather than router(R).
My previous network had the older dsl modem from a couple years ago and I just had to set up my router to handle the PPPoE authentication so I am unfamiliar with the newer modem models.
Are the 645M and 645R similiar enough that the advise would be the same?
Thanks Again

| Sorry but I don't know the answers to your questions. I don't use a router.
Hopefully someone will be along that will be able to help you. In the meantime, have you looked thru our FAQs (it was the 3rd link I posted) to see if there is anything else in them that will help you.
