| Uninstall Road Runner IE Icon
Does anyone know how to remove the Road Runner Internet Explorer icon? I want my "e" back.
Also, does anyone know how to uninstall whatever else the installation technician just put on my computer? I don't see anything listed in "Program Files" or through "Add/Remove Programs". |

1 edit | reply to lostlloosstt Common problem when RR "installation technicians" install TWC/RR's junk on peep's PC's. To undo that, see the following:
MS KB176713 - How to Restore the Animated Internet Explorer Logo
MS KB224457 - How to Restore the Background Bitmap on the Internet Explorer Toolbars
OR - - Try running this exact (copy & paste it) command from Start> Run:
Rundll32.exe Iedkcs32.dll, BrandCleanInstallStubs
That should remove customizations to logos, title bar and the Windows Update menu.
If no joy with that, try running this exact (copy & paste) command from Start> Run:
rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,Clear
Will do the same as above. |

I don't see anything listed in "Program Files" or through "Add/Remove Programs". With regard to anything else installed by the "installation technician," I don't know if RR is still installing its useless old program called RR MEDIC.
But take a look in your "Add/Remove Programs." If the list contains something entitled RR MEDIC (or variation therof), then it's strongly recommended that you uninstall it.
If it does not appear in "Add/Remove Programs," do a system search for rrmedic.exe and tgcmd.exe. If both are not found, then not to worry - - it was not installed. |
