I liked FF's ability to start searching the page for text as the user started typing instead of having to hit ctrl-f. Is there something similar in Opera, or do I have to have the View Bar open?

Look here: »www.opera.com/features/keyboard/. Scroll down to where it gives you the shortcuts for "search" and you'll have your answer. It's a very cool feature
