Once unlocked, can you flash with Linksys PAP-2NA firmware? If so, can you then perform a Factory Reset without worrying about it reverting to Vonage defaults? Thanks |

| The PAP2 and PAP2-NA use identical firmware. The PAP2 has different NVRAM values burned into the device than the PAP2-NA which is why a Master Reset reverts the device back to a locked Vonage adapter.
I tried numerous combinations of trying to reset the adapter (both while in "Sipura" mode and "Linksys" mode, switching back 'n forth between the firmware flavors).
It "Sipura" mode, a master reset acted like all "default Sipura" settings were loaded; however, once switching back to "Linksys" firmware, it was a locked PAP2 Vonage adapter again.

| reply to rizzo2dial Is there a modified Sipura firmware available that will load using the PAP2 web interface from a file located on a local machine? Would that effectively turn this device into a SPA2000 (or SPA2002), then only needing to update firmware as if it were a Sipura and not dealing with it reverting to a locked Vonage device? PM me if you need to. Thanks

| reply to mazilo I want to get my PAP2 back to Linksys PAP-2 firmware. I tried to unlock it. Right now the admin page shows Sipura. Will a factory reset do this or do I need to reload the firmware? Where can I get that firmware? How do I actually do a factory reset? Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! |
