| Nothing overt with your line test.
Can you access your modem and post your signal levels?
Also, disconnect your router & connect modem to PC. Run speed tests again. -- Write me up for 125.......I Can't Drive 55 »redrocker.com/ »cabowabo.com/ |

| Not quite sure about a Toshiba, but try: »192.168.100.1/
Obviously the router is the issue. Try a different cable from modem to router & different ports on the router.
What version is your router? Look on the tag. -- Write me up for 125.......I Can't Drive 55 »redrocker.com/ »cabowabo.com/ |

| said by Shazz7 :is this it? Linksys BEFSX41 That's the model number. Does it have a "V" and then a number after it on the tag; like V2? -- Write me up for 125.......I Can't Drive 55 »redrocker.com/ »cabowabo.com/ |

1 edit | I'm not sure about why AIM is disconnecting, but your router is an issue causing low download speeds.
We need to see what your signal levels are while connected to router.
Call Comcast Tech support up and ask them to check your signal levels.
Also, try AIM with the modem connected to PC. -- Write me up for 125.......I Can't Drive 55 »redrocker.com/ »cabowabo.com/ |

| It didn't really matter what you put in for advertised speed. What should be put in there is the tier you are paying for: 4000, 6000, 8000.
I can fine tune your TCP properties, but the router seems to be the issue.
Download DrTCP: »/drtcp
Set as shown above.

Run a tweak test & 2 speed tests. Also run this small ftp test: »ftp://ftp1.optonline.net/pub/test64 Download small file. Note speed at 40%, cancel after. -- Write me up for 125.......I Can't Drive 55 »redrocker.com/ »cabowabo.com/ |
