[XP Pro] Adobe Acrobat 7.0

Hello All,

Very quick question. I installed Adobe Acrobat 7.0 and then when it finished installing and I opened microsoft word, i have 2 extra menu headings, Adobe PDF and Adobe Comments. These 2 menus are right next to the Help menu in word. How can I stop them from showing up. I already have an adobe 7.0 icon bar in word as well which will allow me to convert to pdf so I dont need these menu option as well, redundant.

Anyone know how to get rid of them?

Thanks,
Steve

Did you try a right click on the top bar or the options menu?

Yep, if i do a right click, I only have th ability to close out the acrobat toolbar and not these menu options. So annoying and cluttered. Cant find an easy way to get this off, any other suggestions

To prevent the add-in from loading, edit the Windows registry. Locate the key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\PDFMaker.OfficeAddin]

Change the subkey called "LoadBehavior" from a value of 3 to 0.

I wasn't thinking Add-in but maybe he could open Word and goto Tools|Templates and Add-Ins and uncheck it before playing with the registry? Or wouldn't it show there?
