A lot of pop-ups get through blockers by using Javascript. Not sure exactly what to set on IE to prevent this.
I've been using FireFox for a long time and started noticing those, I installed the noscript extension and only allow Javascript on sites I trust. That way I can still use Javascript on some sites, like Yahoo for email, and not allow it on other sites, like those that make pop-ups. |
