Or more importantly, what if the artist in question isn't signed by any of the members of RIAA? That would make this ideology fairly null and void, wouldn't it?

My understanding is that they have deals with just about all the uk indie players. It isn't like it is just sony. Sony was a big deal because it is the first major player to be willing to participate. | |
