Yes you can add a second NIC. Just disable the onboard NIC through the BIOS or you can keep it as a fall back.
Any NIC in the market is good enough. It all depends how fast you want your local network to be.. 10/100 Mbps or 10/100Mbps/1 Gbps. If you have a normal 10/100 router or switch you can be all set with about 12 to 15 bucks for a new NIC or even less than that if you are lucky.
Go to Circuit City, CompUSA, Office Depot to find a good NIC or just buy it online. -- The art of flying is to throw yourself at the ground and miss |

join:2005-03-05 Toms River, NJ | I have a Soltek SL-K8TPro-939 and i was wondering, is it possible to buy a network card (PCI Slot) and use that instead of the onboard one. I think that's the reason im losing connection so much. And if so which one should i buy. |
