@rr.com | reply to jchin Re: [TWC] Level3 breaks public peering
It is affecting us in North Carolina too. My suggestion is to complain to your local US representative since Level3 is, among other things, a government contractor. |

@rr.com | reply to jchin I dont think complaining to the goverment is going to make level3 re-peer with cogent.... |

2) I need to access sites to push out real-time weather data (Citizen Weather Observer Program CWOP). I am out of luck until RR works out their routing issue. |

@rr.com | reply to jchin I called Level3.net they said its cogents fault, because cogent refuses to work with them or something. |

Hall Premium,MVM join:2000-04-28 Dayton, OH | I can get to Drudge's site but not Photobucket. A tracert to drudge goes from rr.com to level3.net to some hops with no rDNS entries, then svwh.net (??), another unnamed hop, then drudge's host. A tracert to Photobucket times out after verio.net. |

It cost's level3 nothing to peer with cogent bandwidth wise because the only bandwidth cogent is using is whats already on level3's backbone, its not like they are accessing sites out of level3's network |
