| [Other] DELL 2350 Wireless router problems
I've got a pesky wireless router (Dell 2350 Wireless Broadband Router) that frequently misbehaves and requires a reset.
Symptoms include:
•Intermittent, flaky, or no access to the internet via both wired and wireless clients. •*All* access, including ICMP, from the Internet into my LAN fails, despite forwarded ports •The router's built-in http based configuration tool continues to work regardless of other problems. •A reset, either via power cycling or by using the configuration tool option immediately returns the router to normal operation, until next time
The above happens sometimes a few times a day, but sometimes it will go for days with no troubles.
The router has 2 PCs wired to it that are active most of the time, plus one more that is active rarely, and one wireless client using 802.11G and WPA-PSK.
I've tried basically everything I can think of to try and resolve this problem. Basically I re-loaded the firmware and restored factory settings and reconfigured.
I don't know if anyone here would have any other suggestions to try, this is my last attempt at a resolution before this thing goes in the trash.
Anyone know if this is a re-branded version of something else? Any other non-Dell firmware out there I could try? |
