[Help Me] Installed D-Link router, trouble with ema

Just installed a D-Link 624,I have a sprint 645R modem. I am a complete noob when it comes to networking. I tried to follow the instructions for the D-Link but now when I try to access my email accounts (one pop the other gmail)it says no such host about 2/3s of the time but other times it will get my mail. Some web pages don't look right it's as if there is no color and the layout is wrong. I can't receive streaming audio.I have to go to some sites 2 or 3 times before I can access them. This makes no sense to me,why will it work sometimes and not others? I have 512K DSL. I am hard wired to the router. just updated to the latest firm ware
