Re: [Help] Norton Antivirus 2003 auto-disables itself

ShortCappy See Profile, are you referring to NAV disabling Auto-Protect as in the screenshot? If so try the suggestions here: Norton AntiVirus 2003 Auto-Protect is disabled on startup. This should help.

Re-installing NAV usually does not help much, and somewhat akin to a doctor telling you to take two aspirin and call back in the morning after you've broken an arm without offering you an x-ray and cast.

If you continue to have the problem, I would also suggest you scan for malware beginning with »Security »I think my computer is infected or hijacked. What should I do? Rather safe than sorry.

Please let us know how it goes.

A couple of weeks ago, after dealing with other problems with my PC, I noticed that the auto-disables itself. I don't remember disabling it for any reason, so I enable it. Now, every time I start or restart my PC and some time passes, no matter what I do, the program auto-disables itself, and have to enable it every time. I tried uninstall and reinstall it several times, but that doesn't get rid of the problem. How can I fix this?
